Which air-conditioning brands does Astra Engineering install in Ghana?
Astra is Daikin-aligned and multi-brand. We supply and install Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Toshiba, LG, Midea, Panasonic, Gree, TCL and EuropAce — choosing the brand that best fits each project rather than whatever happens to be in stock.
What areas of Ghana does Astra serve?
We work nationwide from our base in Asylum Down, Accra, with air-conditioning projects delivered in Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Takoradi.
What is the difference between split, ducted and cassette air conditioners?
A split system has a wall-mounted indoor unit for a single room; a ducted split conceals the unit in the ceiling and distributes air through ducts across larger open-plan spaces; a cassette is recessed into the ceiling and throws air in four directions for even coverage of rooms and halls.
What is a VRV/VRF system and when is it used?
VRV/VRF (variable refrigerant volume/flow) connects many indoor units to a few outdoor units and varies refrigerant flow to match demand. It suits multi-storey and multi-zone buildings where different areas need independent, energy-efficient control.
